The curved bow of a small white boat sweeps diagonally across the square frame from lower left to upper right. A bold red stripe and a thinner yellow band run along the gunwale, with a small dark brass fitting and a hint of rope near the tip. Inside the hull, slate blue planks and a thin oar shaft sit in shade.
Below the bow, a pale reflection curves through dark, inky water, carrying a faint echo of the red stripe at the lower right edge. The surface has a soft, textured, brushed look, like a photograph reworked into a painterly finish. Strong contrasts of white, red and deep navy give it a graphic, calm feel.
