A cream, slightly mottled vase stands at the centre of a portrait composition, holding six deep red tulips and two smaller red carnation-like blooms. The stems arc outward, with broad green leaves on the right and lower left. Several heads tilt sideways, so the bouquet reads as loose and open rather than neatly upright.
Behind the vase sits a round gold disc, set against panels of warm terracotta on the right and muddy grey-brown on the left. A sage green band forms the tabletop along the bottom. Every surface carries a scratched, plaster-like texture, giving the flat shapes a worn, layered feel with a muted earthy palette.
