A close, top-down photograph of wet beach sand shaped by the tide into long ripples. The ridges run diagonally from lower left to upper right, filling the whole frame with no horizon, sky or water visible. Small side branches split off each ridge like veins in a leaf.
Low, warm light catches only the crests, so they glow in pale gold and cream while the troughs fall into deep charcoal and blue-black. The contrast is strong and the palette is narrow. One tiny dark speck sits near the bottom edge. The result reads as a texture study, close to abstract.
