A woven nest of twigs and dried grass sits at the centre, holding three small blue-green eggs. It rests on a rough, weathered branch with pale bark and tangled moss below. Fine stems and heart-shaped green leaves rise around it, and a few thin sprigs carry tiny orange buds.
In the upper right a large, soft white peony with a faint lilac centre and yellow-green stamens opens beside a dark green leaf. Behind everything is a layered, textured backdrop of pale aqua and cream, overprinted with faded French lettering such as "Mercerie & Bonneterie" and looping script. The mix of botanical illustration and vintage paper gives it a gentle collage feel.
