A loose bunch of pink roses rises from a soft, smudgy patch of grey-green foliage at the base. Three open blooms and several tightly closed buds sit at different heights on thin, upright stems, with a few small buds low on the left. Dark green leaves branch off in pairs along each stem.
The background is a warm tan to ochre, mottled and creased like old paper or plaster, with visible surface texture throughout. The petals are soft-edged and slightly hazy, in rose pink with deeper red shading. The muted palette and gentle blur give it a faded, aged look. A signature sits in the lower right corner.
