A large cluster of rounded trees fills the left side of this square landscape. The foliage is built from dabbed olive, khaki and sage greens, with a block of deep rust red on the right of the clump. A smaller rust-coloured tree sits at the lower right edge, balancing the larger mass.
In front, a rolling meadow runs across the bottom in bands of lime green, mustard yellow and a strip of dark red. The land dips to a pale, sunlit plain and a low line of soft brown hills. Above it, a wide pale blue sky is faintly mottled with grey cloud marks, leaving most of the upper right open and quiet.
