A single sailboat sits just right of centre on a calm sea, its pale mainsail catching the last light and its dark hull sitting low on the water. A thin reflection of the mast and sail trails down into the ripples below. The horizon runs as a dark line about two thirds of the way down the square frame.
Above the horizon the sky shifts from deep blue at the top to a band of apricot and soft yellow. Large white and cream clouds sit in the middle, lit gold along their lower edges. Two small dark birds fly near the clouds on either side of the boat. The water is built from short, thick strokes of blue, violet and pale yellow, giving the look of a textured oil-style painting.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
