About Savanna Lion
A male lion fills the right half of the image, turned slightly towards the viewer with amber eyes level and steady. His mane runs from deep copper at the crown to pale straw along the jaw, with a white chin and muzzle and a dark nose and lip line anchoring the face. Behind him the savanna falls away in soft focus: a flat-topped mountain in hazy brown, banded cloud lit gold and grey, and two flat-crowned acacia trees in olive and dark green standing over dry, rust-toned ground.
The warm low sun gives the whole frame a gold cast, so the lion's fur and the sky share the same amber key while the background stays blurred and quiet. The character is calm rather than fierce, a close portrait held against wide open country.
Works in a living room above a low timber sideboard, in a home office behind the desk, or in a kids' or teen bedroom where animals are a theme.
