A large cream scallop shell sits at the centre of a square teal panel, its ribs fading from white to soft peach and coral. A small striped whelk shell rests at its lower left, and a pale starfish with dotted arms leans in at the right. A faint shadow beneath them grounds the group on a muted seabed.
The teal panel is edged with a rough, worn gold border, set into a patchwork of patterned papers. There are aqua circles, gold scrollwork on lilac and peach, green paisley, and blue tiles with gold diamonds. The textured surface and illustrated style give it a decorative, collage-like feel rather than a realistic one.
