Two tall rock stacks rise from a hazy peach-orange sky. The larger stack sits left of centre, a flat-topped block with a sunlit amber edge down its right face and deep brown shadow across the rest. A second, darker stack is cropped at the right edge, partly lost in mist.
Below them the sea is rough and busy. Swells roll in from the right, and white spray streams off the crests. Teal and slate water in the foreground carries a curling wave with foam on its face. Cool blue-greens in the surf contrast with the warm sky. It reads as a photograph taken in low evening light.
