The brushwork is loose and visible, with a slightly weathered, washed texture.
Behind the chairs, a band of turquoise water breaks into lacy white foam along the shoreline. Above it, a deep blue sky is mottled with darker washes and small pale flecks. Clumps of dry tan beach grass frame the lower corners, adding warm browns against the cool blues and greens of the sea. The square format keeps the scene balanced and calm.
