About Shapes and Reflections II
Three ceramic vessels are arranged on a flat mushroom-grey shelf. At the left, a large tan jar with a wide rim is cropped by the edge of the frame. Beside it sits a rounded, shoulder-heavy jar in the same warm biscuit tone, its pale interior rim just visible. In front, a slim aubergine bottle vase with a long neck breaks the palette with cool deep purple. Behind them a golden vertical post and a soft, blurred reflected shape fill the background.
The mood is quiet and measured. Light falls from the right, shading each curve from warm ochre through to soft grey shadow, and the surfaces are rendered smooth and matte with no sharp highlights, giving the group a still, contemplative feel.
Suits dining rooms, hallways and kitchens with warm neutral walls, oak or walnut furniture and linen upholstery. The tan and aubergine palette works with terracotta pots, rattan and brass lighting.
