About Snow Mountains
The canvas is split across the lower third by a band of cobalt and ultramarine blue that has been pulled downward in long vertical runs, so the top edge of the blue reads as a jagged row of peaks. Above it the paint is thinned and blended into soft clouds of lemon yellow, aqua, warm grey and pale pink, with a white cloud shape near the centre. A knot of magenta and coral sits at the left of the blue band, and a small pink pour at the top right trails thin drip lines down through the aqua.
Edges are almost entirely soft, with no drawn lines anywhere; the only hard marks are the drip runs and a small signature at the lower right. The character is light and airy up top and heavy and saturated below, so the painting feels like weather over a range of blue mountains.
Suits a bedroom above a bed head, a hallway with white or pale grey walls, or a living room with a light timber floor. The blue band works with navy or denim cushions, while the pink and yellow clouds pick up brass lamps, linen upholstery and green indoor plants.
