A long exposure photograph of a receding wave, the water pulled into soft streaks that fan out from the horizon toward the bottom edge. The blur turns the shallows into smooth lilac, mauve and grey bands, with a faint patch of white foam at the lower left.
Dark rock formations frame both sides. A low mass sits on the left, while a paler headland on the right is washed in haze where the sun flares at the edge. Above the thin horizon, layered cloud glows orange and gold, fading to pink and violet across the upper sky.
