A weathered elderly face fills the top third, eyes steady and forehead lined, with pale streaks across the cheeks and nose. The skin glows in rust and ochre, and the background around it breaks into fine speckled spray in grey, cream and olive that looks like it is dissolving.
Below, two white wolves face outward from either side, their heads mirrored, dark noses at the bottom corners. Between them hangs a butterfly with a round blue and orange patterned medallion, an oval beaded panel in violet and blue, and long cream feathers. The rendering is soft and realistic, with a small signature at lower right.
