In the foreground a smooth, wind-sculpted dune of grey-blue sand rises on the right, with tufts of green marram grass along its crest. A weathered timber edge and a dark post lead the eye across the flat beach toward a line of small groynes and white surf breaking in the distance. This is a wide landscape photograph.
