A large teal flower sits in the middle of the frame, its broad petals fanning out from a small cream centre ringed with dark brown flecks. Around it, other blooms overlap in rust brown, cream and a paler aqua, so the flowers read as layered translucent shapes rather than separate heads.
The surface is mottled and scratchy, with dry brush streaks, patches of ochre and tan showing through, and soft white highlights along the petal edges. Brown flowers fill the upper left and right corners, while pale cream petals sit at the bottom right. The palette is warm and earthy against the cool teal, in a loose abstract floral style.
