A wide, low view of a beach with the horizon sitting about a third of the way down the frame. Pale, almost white sand fills the foreground, glossed by a thin film of retreating water. Above it, a band of creamy foam spreads in lacy patterns where the last wave has slid up the shore.
Beyond the foam the water shifts from clear aqua to deep teal and navy near the horizon, with several lines of white breakers rolling in. The sky is soft blue-grey with fine streaks of cloud and a few puffy white clouds, one large bank sitting low on the right. It reads as a photograph with cool, muted tones.
