A pergola of timber beams and stone columns frames the scene, draped in vines and clusters of pink, red and white blossoms. Sunlight falls through the leaves and scatters bright patches across a pale paved terrace and the stone wall of a building with a pair of arched, teal-framed glass doors.
On the left a table with a white cloth and green fringe sits beside red-cushioned chairs and a vase of yellow flowers. Terracotta pots of blooms line the path. Beyond the columns, a green lawn slopes to a deep blue bay, with distant headlands, two small sails and cypress trees under a soft, cloudy sky. The look is a rich, detailed painterly landscape.
