A single pomegranate fills almost the whole square, drawn as a flat silhouette in muted terracotta orange. The crown at the top is a set of sharp, uneven points, and the rounded body runs off the left, right and bottom edges, so the fruit feels large and close.
The surface looks like a block print on cream paper. Small white flecks and scratches break up the orange, heavier along the left edge and in scattered patches across the middle, and the colour shifts slightly from deeper to lighter tones. The background is a soft off-white with faint speckles.
