About The Bridge Melbourne
The photograph is taken from the centre of a pedestrian bridge deck, looking straight down its length so the structure recedes in perfect symmetry. Two pairs of white steel arches cross overhead, tied together by fine cables and bolted collars, with two floodlights bursting into sharp starbursts against a solid black sky. The paved deck is laid in wide grey slabs, and the glass balustrades on either side carry a strip of blue LED light. Amber windows of a low riverside building glow at the far end, with apartment towers to the left.
The character here is clean and geometric: crisp white metal, deep black sky and a cool blue line drawing the eye straight through the arches to the lit buildings beyond.
