Three small white sailboats sit right of centre on a wide, calm stretch of turquoise water. Their sails are tiny flicks of cream and white, with faint reflections beneath them. The scale is deliberate: the boats are dwarfed by the open sea and sky around them.
Thick, loose brushwork fills the sky with billowing cream and grey cloud, shading into soft blues and violet-grey at the edges. The water moves from deep teal and green on the left to pale aqua near the bottom, with a bright band of light along the horizon. A loose abstract painting style with visible texture.
