About Travelers
Two tall, simplified figures stand slightly left of centre against a broad grey-green wall. The taller figure is built from ridged bronze and dark brown paint, ribbed across the torso like woven cloth, with a small angular head and a thin arm dropping to one side. Beside it, a shorter figure is wrapped in a scarlet and orange cloak that falls in a straight column, topped by a head marked with green, gold and red. A slab of gold-brown sits on the ground at lower left.
In the lower right corner a wide band of cobalt blue, streaked with olive and white, cuts across the base like water or a painted wall. The mood is quiet and still, the two figures reading as companions paused mid-journey rather than portraits of anyone in particular.
Works in a hallway, entry or dining room where a tall narrow wall needs a single strong image. The grey-green ground sits well with putty, linen and pale timber, while the scarlet and cobalt pick up rust cushions, kilim rugs and brass or carved timber objects.
