A field of tulips photographed with a zoom blur, so the blooms streak outward from the middle of the frame like a burst. Red, yellow, pink and a few deep purple petals smear into long soft trails towards every edge, while dark green stems show through in the gaps.
Near the centre a few flowers stay fairly sharp: a pale yellow tulip sits upright above a pink bud with a deeper pink tip. The contrast between that small still point and the streaking colour around it gives the image movement and depth. Colours are saturated and the light is soft and even.
