Red tulips burst from the top of a square watercolour, their open heads bleeding into soft pink and orange edges. Long green and yellow-green leaves fan out below them into a clear glass vase, where pale stems show through the water in streaks of olive and cream.
To the right stand two wine bottles, one dark green and one deep blue, drawn with loose washes and dripping edges. A round orange sits at lower left on a table of pink, peach and rust patches. Speckles and runs of pigment give the surface a wet, layered look. A signature sits at lower right.
