About Pop Art Sea Turtle
A sea turtle swims across the canvas from left to right, drawn with a heavy black outline and filled with blocks of yellow, magenta, pink, orange, green and purple. The shell is broken into irregular panels of pattern, dots and stripes, while the flippers carry their own mosaic of colour. The background is a washed aqua blue with paler rays spreading from the upper corners, flecked with olive and dark blue spatter and thin drips running down toward the lower edge.
Hand-lettered text arcs over and under the turtle, reading "The best way to predict the future is to create it". The character of the artwork is loose and graphic, closer to a street-art poster than a wildlife study, with the flat colour panels and ink outlines giving it a bold, slightly rough edge.
Suits a beach house hallway, a child's or teenager's bedroom, a home office or a bright living room with white or pale timber walls. It works beside rattan, linen and pale oak furniture, and pairs well with other marine or animal pop art prints, aqua cushions and simple black-framed photographs.
