A large wooden boat hull sits upturned on a sandy beach, propped up by thin timber poles and braced with a crossbeam. The planks are dark, cracked and weathered, and the curved hull arcs across the centre of the frame. The photograph is taken from low down, so the boat looms over the sand.
The sand is rippled and pale gold, scattered with small shells, rope and sticks. A woven basket sits under the hull. Along the far shoreline, more small boats rest at the water's edge. The sky runs from deep blue overhead to a warm yellow glow at the right horizon, with wispy white cloud streaking across.”
