About Vintage Australia Map Wall Art Print
The continent of Australia sits centred on a pale duck-egg blue ground, filled in flat tomato red with cream state borders marking Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania. Small cream icons dot the map: a kangaroo, a koala, a crocodile, a boomerang, an emu, an Akubra-style hat, a surfer, a racehorse and the Sydney Opera House. The Australian flag flies on a pole off the Queensland coast, and a compass rose sits lower right.
Cream script labels name the Great Victoria Desert, the Great Australian Bight, the Great Dividing Range and the surrounding seas. A teal ribbon top left reads "Explore the Land Down Under", while a mustard band across the base carries "AUSTRALIA" in tall red lettering between two stars. The border is softly aged, with faint speckling and darker edges that mimic a well-handled 1950s travel poster. The mood is cheerful, graphic and easy to read from across a room.
