A single large shell sits slightly left of centre, its ribbed body marked with white zigzag lines that run between raised vertical ridges. The shell is soft and a little blurred at the edges, rendered in sepia, tan and chocolate brown, as if seen through a hazy film.
Behind it is a distressed wall surface in cream, pale grey and ochre, with hairline cracks, flaking patches and dark specks. Thin brown drips run down the whole image like old water stains. Two faint starfish shapes sit in the top left and bottom right corners, almost lost in the texture.
