A thin, twisting branch rises from the bottom centre of a tall portrait canvas and forks into finer twigs on the right. White blossoms with small orange centres sit along it, with a few more hanging from a second twig at the top left. Small olive leaves appear near the buds.
The background is a mottled wash of sage green, grey and warm cream, scraped and layered so it looks like weathered plaster. Pale curved lines and drips cross the lower half, with a faint yellow-orange streak in the bottom left corner. The brushwork looks like a painting, soft and muted apart from the orange flower centres.
