A white Adirondack chair fills the left and foreground of this portrait photograph, shot close so the slatted back, the curved top edge and the wide flat armrest are crisp. Small screw heads show along the rails. The chair sits on a pale grey timber deck with narrow boards running toward the edge of the frame.
Behind it the view falls into soft focus. A band of olive green dune grass runs across the middle, with a strip of deep blue sea and a hint of white surf along the horizon. The sky above is a clear, pale blue that fades lighter near the top. The light is gentle daylight, so the white timber reads clean and bright against the blues and greens.
