A tall bunch of white irises rises from a low tuft of grass at the bottom of the picture. Around fifteen blooms crowd the upper half, their petals soft and slightly blurred, with cream shading and a few touches of pale yellow at the centres. The thin green stems fan out from a single point near the base.
The background is a mottled wash of tan, honey and caramel with a crackled, plaster-like texture. A band of darker brown earth sits under the plants, and faint grass blades trail off at the sides. The palette is warm and muted, so the white flowers stand out. A signature sits in the lower right corner. The look is that of a textured painting.
