A single white magnolia fills the right-hand panel, set against a deep black ground. Its creamy petals open loosely around a green-gold centre of small seed-like buds. Two olive green leaves sit behind and below the bloom, and a slender stem curves down towards the bottom edge.
The left third is a cream panel with a scrolling black leaf and vine pattern, stencilled in a loose, dark brushy line. A band of olive green lattice with flower motifs runs across the foot of the black panel. The surfaces look thick and textured, like built-up paint, with visible ridges in the cream and the petals.
