Large white orchid blooms spill from a round, shallow grey bowl in the lower centre of a portrait canvas. The petals are built from thick, creamy strokes of impasto-style paint that catch the light in ridges, and each flower has a small green and yellow centre with dark shading around it.
Tall green blades and thin black stems rise behind the flowers, while flecks of lime, white and dark green gather around the rim of the bowl like loose foliage. Behind it all, vertical grey streaks fade from pale near the top to charcoal at the edges, and a brown tabletop sits beneath. A red signature sits at the lower left.
