About Wine Cellar
Eleven wine bottles stand shoulder to shoulder in a single row across a wide, off-white background. Each one is drawn differently: tall Bordeaux shoulders, sloping Burgundy necks, a squat flask and a slim clear bottle at the right. Tone ranges from near-black glass through soft graphite greys to almost blank white, so the row reads as a rhythm of dark and light. Hand-lettered labels carry names such as Chardonnay, Sapo Verde, Viano, Di Castelli, Levretta, Albero, Ritratto, Tomayo, Podesta and Vino Della Casa.
The drawing keeps its pencil and wash character: visible line work around the necks, loose shading on the glass, small ink smudges and stray marks left on the pale ground. Details like a grape cluster crest, a small animal emblem and a crown sit within the labels. It has the quiet, observational feel of a sketchbook page rather than a polished advertisement, which keeps the long format calm and easy to live with.
Built for a long wall: above a sideboard in the dining room, along a kitchen splashback wall, over a bar cart or a wine rack. The monochrome palette works with white or charcoal joinery, timber benchtops and black tapware, and pairs easily with open shelving, wine glasses and other black and white prints.
