An older man's face fills the right side of the image, one eye catching the light while the left half sinks into deep purple-brown shadow. A white streak runs down his cheek over weathered, copper-toned skin. On his head he wears a grey wolf pelt, the wolf's face resting above his brow with its dark nose and pale ears intact.
Two wolves run through the soft, faded space on the left, drawn small and in mid-stride against a warm apricot and tan wash. A long dark feather hangs from the headdress beside a small hoop ornament, and a patterned beaded medallion sits at the bottom. Flecks and spatters of paint texture the background, which blends the figures into the haze like a double exposure.
