Six propeller planes are seen from below and head-on, lined up on a diagonal from the top left corner to the lower left. The nearest is huge and cropped by the edge of the frame, with silver spinning propeller discs. Each plane behind it is smaller, which gives a strong sense of depth. The planes are a flat deep maroon, with fine streaked lines trailing from the wings.
The sky fades from cream at the top to pale blue and then deep navy at the base. A navy band along the bottom carries cream capital lettering: "4TH INTERNATIONAL AVIATION MEETING ZURICH", then "23RD JULY -1ST AUGUST 1937" with the year set larger. The tall condensed letters and the streamlined shapes give it a 1930s Art Deco poster look.
