About Mesa Weaving IV
Three horizontal rectangles sit stacked on a clean white ground, each one wider and taller than the last as the eye moves down. The top band is a narrow strip of deep wine red with crisp horizontal edges. The middle block is a warm terracotta pink, slightly uneven in tone, with soft fibrous edges that fray outwards like the selvedge of woven cloth. The largest shape at the base is a pale blush rectangle, lighter in the centre and faintly mottled, its borders feathered into fine threads.
The character here is quiet and orderly. Colour does all the work, stepping from a saturated wine at the top down to the softest blush at the bottom, while the frayed edges keep the geometry from feeling rigid or mechanical.
Suits bedrooms, bathrooms, nurseries and home offices with white or soft grey walls. Works above a bedhead, beside a mirror, or in a narrow hallway where a portrait shape fits best. Pairs with pale timber, rattan, linen bedding and brass fittings, and hangs well as part of a pink-toned gallery wall.
