About Full Throttle Colour
A speedway rider leans hard into the viewer, the front wheel swung up and across the lower right of the square canvas. The tyre is built from thick slabs of palette-knife paint in red, cream, cobalt and yellow, edged by a black rim, so the wheel reads as a mass of colour rather than rubber. The bike's frame and forks are struck in red and ochre strokes, the rider's white helmet a small bright dome at the top. Behind him a second rider dissolves into grey-blue haze and dust.
The background is left soft and smoky, a plain warm grey that lets the raised ridges of paint catch the light. Movement carries the picture: nothing is finished tidily, and the smeared edges of the wheel and shoulder do the work of speed.
Suits a games room, garage bar, teenager's bedroom or a hallway that needs one loud square. It works over a leather sofa or against dark grey and charcoal walls, and pairs with black metal shelving, timber and other motorsport or figure pieces in the same red and blue range.
