About Pastel Shoreline Mirage
A wide abstract band runs across the centre of the canvas, where short turquoise, olive and white marks cluster together like distant buildings or boats seen across water. Above it, a pale grey-cream sky is scrubbed on thinly, with faint blue and pink smudges drifting near the top edge. Below the horizon line, warm ochre and sand tones are dragged in broad horizontal sweeps, streaked with dilute brown washes and scraped patches that let the lighter ground show through.
The overall effect is hazy and sun-bleached, with only a few crisp dabs of turquoise and mustard holding the eye at the horizon. It reads as quiet and atmospheric rather than dramatic.
Suits a living room above a low sofa, a bedroom bedhead, or a hallway that needs width without weight. The sandy ochre and soft turquoise sit well with oak, rattan and linen, and with white or pale grey walls. Good above a sideboard in a coastal or Hamptons-style room.
