About Kaleidoscope
Poured ribbons of colour run diagonally across a white ground, from upper left to lower right. Cobalt and turquoise blues fan out in feathered edges, with fine darker lines branching like ink drawn into water. Bands of magenta and hot pink cut through the middle and lower left, one of them softening into a pale mauve bloom near the centre. Two long seams of silver-grey sit inside the blue shapes, granular and speckled, reading like crushed mineral packed along a fault line. Wide areas of untouched white are left open between the flows.
The character is clean and high-contrast: bright, almost electric colour against plenty of empty white, so the picture stays light rather than heavy. It has the look of marbled stone or a satellite view of water.
Suits a white or pale grey wall in a living room, entry or bedroom, and works above a low sideboard or a bedhead. The pink and cobalt pick up well against blonde timber, brass lamps and chrome.
