About Brisbane Story Bridge
The Story Bridge runs across the frame from left to right, its grey steel truss work and riveted cantilever span forming a lattice of diagonals and verticals. A pale concrete pier sits on a green mangrove point at the lower left. Behind the bridge the Brisbane skyline rises: a spired white tower, a dark glass high-rise with a curved crown, blocky office buildings and a tall residential tower on the right. The Brisbane River fills the foreground, muddy brown and olive, with a small wake trailing a boat.
The sky is deep saturated blue with scattered white cloud near the horizon. Detail is crisp throughout, from the bolt pattern on the bridge steel to the ferry terminals along the far bank, giving the image a bright, clear-day clarity.
