Several dark branches reach in from the edges of a square canvas, carrying clusters of blossom in burnt orange, rust red and golden yellow. Scattered among them are small cream flowers with five rounded petals and pale green centres. The clusters are built from loose, layered dabs of colour, so the orange blooms read as soft masses rather than detailed petals.
Behind the branches the background is a mottled blue-green, scratched and scumbled so it looks like weathered plaster or a cloudy sky. The thin dark twigs cross it in fine lines, and the open space between the clusters keeps the composition airy. The warm oranges sit strongly against the cool teal, and the surface looks textured and brushy, like a painting.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
