About Blue Blooming Delight IV
A deep navy square holds the words "From This Day Forward" across three lines of flowing gold script, the capital F and D swept out in long tails. A wreath of watercolour blooms frames the text: full coral peonies and cabbage roses in the upper left and lower centre, open poppies with speckled black centres at top and lower right, and smaller salmon buds scattered between. Sage and olive eucalyptus leaves and sprays of tiny aqua berries fill the gaps along every edge.
Behind the lettering, faint tone-on-tone leaf shapes sit just a shade lighter than the navy ground, giving the middle of the square quiet depth. The flowers carry soft watercolour bleeds and pale edges where pigment has pooled. It is a romantic, celebratory piece, warm coral against cool navy, with the gold script doing the talking.
Suits a main bedroom above the bedhead, a dressing area or a guest room, and works as a wedding or anniversary piece. Pair it with navy linen, brass lamps, rattan and blush cushions. The square format sits well over a low chest of drawers, a hall console or a powder room vanity. Browse more blue art, multi-coloured art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
