About Blue Horizon
The composition is built from wide horizontal bands stacked across a long panoramic format. The upper third is pale aqua and soft grey, washed in overlapping streaks that fade like mist. Below it run darker slate and steel-blue strips, dragged sideways so their edges break into feathered flecks. A broad band of clean white cuts through the centre like surf, with small patches of mint green showing at its lower edge. The base is deep navy and near-black ink, laid in long flat sweeps that lighten slightly toward the bottom corners.
Everything reads as sea and sky reduced to horizontal colour, without a single drawn line or recognisable object. The texture visible in the artwork comes from watery pooling, dry-edged streaks and the grain of pigment settling in the darker blues. Its character is calm and cool, with enough contrast between the black-blue base and the bright white centre to hold attention from across a room.
Suited to a long wall above a sofa, a bedhead or a hallway run where the panoramic shape has room to stretch. It works in coastal and beach house interiors, and in home offices with white or pale grey walls. Pair with linen upholstery, pale timber, rattan and brushed nickel or black metal fittings.
