Rounded boulders sit scattered across the frame, their dark teal surfaces rough and speckled with small marks of barnacles or lichen. A large slab fills the lower right foreground, while smaller domes recede into the distance, each one a little paler than the last.
Water has been softened by a long exposure into a smooth, milky haze that drifts between the rocks and hides the waterline. The whole photograph is washed in cool blue and teal, with the pale sky blending into the mist at the top so the stones seem to float.
