About Buddha Enso
A single open circle sits at the centre of a square composition, swept in one continuous motion. The ring shifts from deep teal and indigo at the top and right to lighter denim blue at the lower left, with a darker pooled patch inside the base of the curve. Thin gold lines run along and across the inside edge of the ring, breaking into drips and forked strokes at the left and lower right. The centre is left almost bare white, so the eye settles in the middle.
Around the ring, diluted blue and green washes spread outward and fade into pale aqua and cream at the corners, with visible watery edges where the pigment has dried. The texture of the canvas weave shows through the thin washes, while the gold reads as flat metallic line rather than raised material. The character is calm and meditative: loose, unhurried and balanced by the precision of the gold.
Works above a bed with white or pale linen, in a home office behind a desk, or in a meditation or yoga corner. Pairs with light timber, rattan, brass hardware and ceramic vases. The blue washes suit coastal and Japandi rooms, while the gold line links it to warm metallic lamps, mirrors and picture frames.
