About Murky
Two dark diagonal bands of navy and near-black run across a portrait canvas, one through the upper third and one through the lower third, splitting broad pools of pale aqua and milky white. Sand-beige forms push in from the top left, the mid left edge and the lower right, their edges feathering into soft branching fingers where the wet colour has spread. Small flashes of magenta sit inside the dark bands, and olive-green blooms gather along their upper rims. A pale ringed circle floats near the base.
The paint is poured and tilted rather than brushed, so colours meet in fine veined edges and leave a smooth, glassy surface with occasional raised ridges. The character is cool and watery, with warm sand tones keeping it grounded.
Suits a bedroom above a low bedhead, a hallway end wall, or a bathroom-adjacent space where the aqua reads as water. Works with pale timber, linen bedding, brushed brass and off-white walls.
