About Happy Village
A black tree rises from the lower left, its trunk curving up before splitting into thin branches that coil into tight spirals across the top of the canvas. Each branch tip and the surrounding white background carry round dotted discs in red, yellow, turquoise, green and orange, every circle built from small painted dots. Below sits a black dome hill, filled with more dotted circles and one large red flower of layered dots at its centre. Six narrow houses in red, yellow, orange and pale blue stand along the crest.
The mood is light and playful rather than serious, with flat shapes, crisp black outlines and dotwork that reads clearly from across a room. The white ground keeps all that colour tidy and lets the spiral branches stand out as line drawing.
Good for children's bedrooms, playrooms, nurseries and family hallways, and cheerful enough for a kitchen or laundry wall. The white ground suits pale walls and light timber furniture, while the red, yellow and turquoise dots pick up bright cushions, painted shelving or a colourful rug underneath.
