A close photograph of a chestnut horse in profile, its head bowed and turned to the right. The long, wavy cream mane sweeps back over the neck in loose strands. Pale speckles mark the cheek and jaw, and a white blaze runs down to a pink muzzle with a dark nostril.
Behind the horse, thick fog flattens the sky into soft grey-white and swallows the horizon. A low paddock of short green grass and bare patches of dirt fades into the haze on the right. The warm reddish-brown coat stands out sharply against the cool, muted background.
